The Acid Shaders mod is like many other shader mods in that it affects the way lights, shadows and shade work in the world of Minecraft. It may have some issues working with the latest version of Minecraft (1.12) because Acid Shaders came around a few years ago, back before any of the new items, objects and models were added to the game. This shader pack doesn't require any additional software or mods to work correctly, so you should be able to just install it and play with it, especially since it is not resource intensive like many other shader packs.

Unlike many shader packs which focus on creating a sense of realism by making light bend and move in a more realistic way in Minecraft, Acid Shaders is more for people who want a surreal experience that breaks away from reality. You can immediately see this in the psychedelic effects which occur on objects and environmental aspects that are far away from the player, or you. The farther you are from something, the more distorted it becomes thanks to this shader pack, which is doubtless what inspired the name Acid Shaders. Playing Minecraft with this enabled is almost like being on drugs.

Acid Shaders for Minecraft Changelogs

• Added the sky back into the background (it was just fog in r5)

• Reformatted some more code.
• Fixed the block outline bug. The transformation needs to be done inside gbuffers_basic, however doing so will cause the transformation to apply to all the gbuffers, so I added programs for most of the gbuffers (water didn't need a program).
• Made fog fancy instead of fast
• Collapsed the World Space edition into the Screen Space edition. You can now enable World Space by un-commenting lines in the following files: gbuffers_terrain.vsh, gbuffers_entities.vsh and gbuffers_basic.vsh. You can also un-comment lines in the textured, textured_lit and weather programs, but the difference is not really worth the 30 seconds it would take you.
• Released Animal Crossing Shaders (would have abbreviated as AC Shaders, but that would get confused with ACid).

Tips:

• Requires Optifine or GLSL Shaders Mod
• Requires Minecraft Forge API for most of the versions.

How to install Acid Shaders Mod?

1. The first step is to download and install the GLSL Shaders Mod or Optifine on your Minecraft client!
2. Now go to:
   • Windows => %appdata%.minecraft
   • Mac OS X => ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
   • Linux => ~/.minecraft
3. Search for the 'shaderpacks' folder.
4. Move the downloaded .zip into the shaderpacks folder.
5. Now you can select shader in-game from Options / Video Settings / Shaders. If not, check to make sure you placed the '.zip' file in the correct directory.
6. That was all!

The player changes color between blue and yellow. Shoot the right color to repel the opposing blocks as they keep coming closer.

Shooting the wrong block makes them go faster.

If they reach you, the game is over.

The ? question mark signs are power ups which can lead to presents or sabotage. You can stack the power ups.

dam this game needs an update its wayy tooo hard plus its very buggy it wont shoot!

This is an old version. I'm gonna update it very soon.

There seems to be some bug. Sometimes when I click i don't fire anything and sometimes when I'm yellow and I shoot the blue it still counts.

And also I don't think you should have the powerup icon be a ? in the corner. I thought it was a help button.

I'm not sure if the player is actually moving around or if it's just the particle effects but it didn't make too much sense to me

However I loved the retro style you've got going on and I think the trippy effects are amazing! Definitely changed things up and made it a bit more challenging!
